with Maren Weege
The journey of becoming and being a mother is miraculous, full of wonder and also challenging and exhausting. Whether you are working as a full-time mother or your child is in care while you are doing other work or any other combination, the common denominator is still there: we are mothers to our child(ren) and we all are doing the best we can with what we’ve got and where we are.
Unfortunately, our society is organised in a way that a lot of us do this with very little support and/or with few breaks or time to ourselves. Hence the exhaustion.
Becoming a parent also brings up a lot of emotional stuff from our own childhood. Easy peasy not lemon squeezy at all. Quite challenging often on a daily basis.
The physical (and hormonal) changes that pregnancy brings, of all kinds of births, of carrying and feeding a newborn and ongoing carrying and bending down and sitting on floors with small children (the list goes on) leaves our bodies in need of care - a lot of it. And deservedly so.
As amazing as it is that there is such a thing as the NHS, postpartum and ongoing mother care on the NHS is insufficient. I believe that mothers deserve feeling well and strong and at ease in their body, mind and hearts. Not least so we can really enjoy the miraculous and awesome side of parenting more.
With my services, I am aiming to close that gap of support for mothers by sharing:
postpartum recovery practices for pregnancy and birth
exercises to create and maintain stability and strength in a mothers body
pelvic floor education and exercises
resting and restorative practices for exhaustion and depletion
guided deep relaxation and yoga nidra
practices for emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing
nourishing and nurturing bodywork
It doesn’t matter whether you are new to any of the above or an experienced practitioner. My offerings are for everyone because we co-create according to your needs in groups as well as in 1 to 1 sessions.
